A great neighborhood hardware store! Gives sound advice, far more trustworthy than Home depot. If you want an instant hand at home, often there are retired folk sitting on a barrel who will give you a hand for a very reasonable sum.
Our dryer had a gas leak, and they no longer make the same fittings for it. (which we did not know, until the gentleman at Rosedale Hardware told my husband!) My husband had 1st went to Home Depot and Lowes, Neither place had the correct fittings to fix our dryer, and neither place had an employee that had the knowledge to help purchase what would work! My husband went to Rosedale Paint & Hardware and the gentleman knew exactly what was needed, and the price was lower than what he was going to pay at Home Depot. Had my dryer fixed in 5 minutes after he got home!
